A new knee or hip only works as well as the muscles around it. Rehabilitation in the first six to twelve weeks after Total Knee Replacement (TKR) or Total Hip Replacement (THR) decides how well you will walk, climb steps and sit cross-legged again.

Common questions
When can I start physiotherapy after knee replacement?+
Usually the day after surgery in hospital, and home sessions continue right after discharge.
Is it normal to have pain during exercises?+
Some discomfort is expected, but exercises are graded so pain stays manageable. Ice and proper positioning help a lot.
